Tupolev Tu-154B-2

Active since 1983

The Tupolev Tu-154 is a three-engined, medium-range, narrowbody airliner designed and manufactured by Tupolev. A workhorse of Soviet and subsequently Russian airlines for several decades, it carried half of all passengers flown by Aeroflot and its subsidiaries and remaining the standard domestic-route airliner of Russia and former USSR states until the mid-2000s. The Tu-154B-2 was converted to a 180 passenger version by removing the galley and increased maximum takeoff weight. It also featured the minor modifications to the fuel system, avionics, air conditioning and landing gear, like the Tu-154B-1.
